What crazy weather we've had in Cambridge this week. With this warmer weather it's the perfect opportunity to get the toes out and pop on your favourite sandals. With that in mind, you will need a pedicure to get your toes looking and fancy as your shoes.
Here are our top 5 tips for the perfect pedicure….
1) When removing your old nail varnish try to use an acetone free nail varnish as acetone can dry out and harm your nails.
2) Remove any hard callous skin with a foot file when the feet are dry, concentrating on heels and the balls of the feet. Water softens the skin and therefore you may remove too much when wet.
3) When you are filing your nail work from the inside out in a sweeping motion, do not saw at the nail this can cause it to split and weaken.
4) You should always use a base coat of polish as this will not only protect and strengthen the nail but will also prevent discoloration/staining of the nail plate.
5) Roll the polish bottle between your hands rather than shaking it will prevent air bubbles.
